Registered Postal Despatches

REGISTERED POST

As stated on the Enrolment/Registration Forms and various pages of this website, CIC’s modest Fee for a Course, Program or Programme includes the despatch of Study & Training Materials to an enrolled Member of the College, and the despatch of Examinations to Invigilators, by registered airmail post to ensure the safe delivery of despatches; some larger parcels may be despatched by Parcel Force.

When an item is despatched by registered post the College will inform the addressee (e.g. the Member or the Invigilator) of the REGISTRATION NUMBER allocated by Royal Mail (UK) to a packet, and it is then possible to “track” the whereabouts of the registered parcel despatched by its REGISTRATION NUMBER through the “track and trace” facility on website: www.royalmail.com.

The addressee (intended recipient) will normally need to sign for receipt of the registered item - either at the address to which the item is being delivered, or at the local Post Office where the item is being ‘held’ awaiting its collection by the addressee. If the parcel is held at the Post Office, the addressee (the Member or the Invigilator) would then have to go to that Post Office to sign for and collect it.

It is therefore important that the addresses to which the College is asked to despatch items, is clear, correct and full.

ALTERNATIVELY, some Members may need or require that despatches be made by quicker and more direct Courier Despatch Service, perhaps if they are in areas where the standard airmail postal facilities are slow or poor; click here for details of Courier Despatch Service.
